Oniel Bebeshito celebrated in style his first international award in the music industry, winning the Premio Monitor Latino 2026 in the Best Supporting Artist category, awarded at the seventh edition of the event held in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
The singer announced it in a reel posted on his Instagram account: "Well, this video is serious. I just found out that I won the Monitor Latino Award, my first international award. It’s an award based in Colombia, where I was nominated in the Best Supporting Artist category. This is the first time in history that there is a category for supporting roles in international awards."
At the end of his video, the artist summed up the significance of the moment in a few words: “It's crazy.”
The singer shared the moment during the ceremony when his award was announced. The gala took place on Wednesday at the Diamante Events Center in Bucaramanga, as part of a three-day schedule that began on October 26.
The Monitor Latino Awards are organized by the eponymous platform for measuring radio airplay, founded in 2003 and present in more than 18 countries across Ibero-America. The awards are based on actual radio rotation data and feature nominees such as Maluma, Shakira, and Karol G.
In the category that Bebeshito won, Dany Ome & Kevincito el 13, Ya Ice Dila, Rey Tony & Helabusador, and Wow Popy were also competing. The nomination had been announced in mid-September.
The triumph comes at a time of sustained rise for the singer, whose real name is Oniel Ernesto Columbié Campos. In August 2025, he was the first repartero to fill the Kaseya Center in Miami with over 19,000 spectators, and that same year he represented the genre at the Billboard Latin Music Week.
Billboard named him "Rising Latin Artist" in July 2025 and included him among the 26 Latin Artists to Watch in 2026. The singer has also accumulated over 30 gold, platinum, or multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA.
