Vladimir Gutiérrez is a pitcher from Pinar del Río, born in 1995, who participated in two National Series with his home province's team. He subsequently left the Vegueros during the Caribbean Series in San Juan in 2015. In August 2016, he signed with the Reds for $4.75 million, and in 2021, he made his Major League debut with Cincinnati. In 2020, he received an 80-game suspension without pay due to the use of stanozolol, a substance banned by MLB. With fastballs exceeding 95 mph, Gutiérrez also displays good control of his curveball and slider.
