Vladimir Gutiérrez is a pitcher from Pinar del Río born in 1995 who participated in two National Series with his home province team and shortly afterwards left the Vegueros team during the Caribbean Series in San Juan 2015. In August 2016, he signed with the Reds for 4.75 million dollars, and in 2021, he made his MLB debut with the Cincinnati jersey. In 2020, he received an 80-game suspension without pay due to the use of stanozolol, a substance banned by MLB. With fastballs exceeding 95 mph, Gutiérrez also shows good control of his curve and slider.
