
The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill visited Fidel Castro at his home this Saturday, February 13. The official press spread photos and information about the meeting.

His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, paid a courtesy visit, this Saturday afternoon, to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
During the meeting, Fidel had words of recognition towards the Most Holy Patriarch Kirill for his important contribution to strengthening the friendship between the Russian and Cuban people and the dissemination of the values that unite them, and they exchanged about topics of interest linked to the cause of the poor, the fight against discrimination, the preservation of peace and human survival.
They also commented on the good state of relations between Russia and Cuba, based on deep feelings and ties of friendship.
The meeting took place in a relaxed atmosphere, of respect and agreement on the various issues discussed.
