Note:
The frutabomba, also known as papaya or lechosa, is a tropical fruit native to the forests of Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. It is rich in sugars, fiber, minerals, and vitamins A, B, and C. In Cuba, we enjoy it in many ways, but one of our most common and refreshing recipes is the papaya smoothie with milk. It’s delicious and easy to make. If you prepare it at home, don’t forget to share a photo on our social media.
Ingredients:
- ½ papaya
- 500 ml of whole milk
- 100 ml of condensed milk
- 12 ice cubes
Instructions:
Wash and peel the papaya, remove the seeds. Cut it into cubes and place them in the blender.
Add the condensed milk, whole milk, and ice.
Blend until you achieve a thick and cold smoothie. If necessary, add more milk to your liking.
Enjoy it with your favorite snack, or better yet, have it on its own—this smoothie is perfect just as it is.
Enjoy your meal!
