They release names of those killed by the tornado in Havana

This list does not include the death of a teenager, who lost his life electrocuted by high-tension cables.

The National General Staff of the Cuban Civil Defense has announced, five days later, the names of the four deceased as a consequence of the passage of tornado in Havana The last Sunday.

This relationship does not include the death of a teenager who lost his life electrocuted with high tension cables. This tragedy occurred on 133 Mangos Street, in the Diez de Octubre municipality. The young man was transferred to the Los Cocos polyclinic, but nothing could be done for him.

The data published in the newspaper Granma son:

1. Lázaro Javier Ruiz Varela, 23 years old, identity card 95042525784, native of Mayabeque and resident of Cintra, No. 55, between Empresa and Reyes, in the Cerro municipality.

This young man was traveling in a bus that overturned, as a result of which he had a fracture in the base and vault of his skull, with severe brain contusion, which caused an injury to his higher nerve centers.

2. María Esther Linares Deroncelé, 56 years old, identity card 62082110015, born in Santiago de Cuba and resident on Calle H, No. 26, between Adolfo del Castillo and Final, in the Guanabacoa municipality.

María Esther suffered chest trauma with a blunt agent, which caused multiple rib fractures with severe hemothorax, which caused acute anemia.

3. Juan Francisco Cuesta Kessel, 79 years old, identity card 39082100548, native of Havana and resident of street 377, No. 17823, apartment 10, between 184 and 178, Mulgoba neighborhood, in the Boyeros municipality.

The roof of his house collapsed on him, and he suffered thoraco-abdominal compression that ended up suffocating him.

4. Ronner Hernández Caso, 42 years old, identity card 77011300886, native of Pinar del Río and resident at Ave. 3ª, No. 1410, between 14 and 16, town of Caraballo, in the Jaruco municipality, in the province of Mayabeque .

The bus he was traveling in overturned, and he fractured the base of his skull and suffered an acute subdural hematoma and subarachnoid hemorrhage, which led to intracranial hypertension. He underwent surgery.

The atmospheric phenomenon also caused injuries to another 195 people. Of them, 74 remain hospitalized and 12 are serious, according to the last report provided by the authorities on January 30.

The tragedy caused damage to 2,699 houses. Of them, 342 completely collapsed. There is 5,000 people evacuated.
