"There are hundreds of injured, several dead and thousands will sleep without a roof tonight since it was a catastrophe never seen in Havana," said Alain Rodríguez, the Cuban Paparazzi, on his Facebook page.
The force of the tornado, which reached 100 km/h, overturned even a bus, destroyed homes, left cars buried under rubble and dark streets, according to the images shared by Rodríguez from his tour of the affected areas.
Journalist Yusnaby Pérez reported on his social networks that the hospitals in Havana "are saturated" and shared videos of his tour of the affected areas on the page Cuban connection.
