An accident at the intersection of Calvario and San Francisco streets, in the city of Santiago de Cuba, left at least two people injured this Thursday, after a Jeep collided with a Fiat.
There are two versions of what happened. One maintains that the Fiat did not respect the stop sign on that corner, while others blame the Jeep driver because he ignored the preference for the cross street, when the traffic lights were out, due to the shortage of electricity.
A video posted in the Facebook group BUS & TRUCK ACCIDENTS for more experience and less victims shows the moment when neighbors help the two victims and take them to a health center to receive medical attention.
"Drivers who still do not respect traffic laws and many are people who have been driving for years and make these mistakes, because they trust that they know and suddenly the accident appears," one person wrote.
"There you have to stop even with the green one, in either of the two corners. Hopefully there is no one in danger of life," said another Internet user.
Of the two victims, a man named Aparicio and a woman named Judith were identified.
They are out of danger and only have some minor injuries, explained a man close to the injured.
CyberCuba He has not been able to contact the health authorities of Santiago de Cuba to find out the evolution of the patients, nor the police to obtain an official opinion on the accident.
