Tahirí Lorenzo Prado, the mother of the 11J protesterAndy Garcia Lorenzo, carried out a solo protest for the freedom of his son and held State Security responsible for the physical integrity of the political prisoner, who had reportedly been threatened with death in prison.

The woman, outraged after a phone call with the young man, carried out the protest alone with a sign demanding the prisoner's freedom along Second Street in La Vigía to the Villa Clara Prosecutor's Office.

Lorenzo Prado made the complaint public and accused State Security and prison authorities of using other prisoners to threaten young people imprisoned for participating in the anti-government protests of July 11, 2021.

"I just spoke to Andy and he is being threatened in prison that he is going toreceive a beating. "I hold State Security responsible for the physical integrity of my son," she said indignantly.

"You are criminals, the real murderers are you who are ordering the killing of political prisoners in prison. Not one more death threat against my son," he added.

She said she is "tired of reporting, of going to the Prosecutor's Office, to the courts, and nothing happens."

"I reported Roberto Rojo for hitting my son and nothing has happened. My son is innocent, not one more death threat," the woman stressed.

Jonathan Lopez, his son-in-law, stated on Facebook that several neighbors claimed that Andy's mother argued with repressive agents of the regime when she arrived at the Prosecutor's Office, and then was taken home with very high blood pressure.

"Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support and for worrying. We are already at home, my mother has very high blood pressure but we are fine," also posted her daughter, Roxana García Lorenzo, who has become a staunch activist. for his brother's freedom.
