The comedianLimay Blanco asked for help for a Cuban father in need of a vitamin for his 16-year-old daughter, who is suffering from a retinal problem.
"He needs a medication that is the exact one for the medication he has in his eyesight. He has a retinal problem that does not require surgery or any other treatment other than the consumption of vitamins," the father said in a short video where he showed a box. of the medication, called Ocuvite.
"Help, please, this friend is one of those who donates to Christ Changes Lives and today we have to help him," Limay wrote next to the video and released the telephone number of the teenager's father.
In the comments to the publication on both Facebook and Instagram, several Internet users indicated that the medicine is not very expensive and were willing to help.
In a photo published by Limay himself a few hours later, the comedian posed next to three doorknobs, implying that they had already obtained some pills.
Ocuvite Luitein is a food supplement manufactured by the American company Bausch & Lomb specialized in eye health products.
According to the manufacturer, the medicine contains vitamins C and E, minerals such as zinc and selenium, as well as lutein and Zeaxanthin. It meets the daily nutritional needs of the eyes, maintaining vision in normal conditions, prevents the natural deterioration of the eyeball and protects cells against oxidative damage.
Part of the humanitarian work of comedian Limay Blanco, who in recent years has aroused admiration in thousands of Cubans, focuses on the search for medicines that are in short supply in Cuba.
One of the artist's dreams is to buy the land attached to his house to build a church, a warehouse for medicines and continue giving shape to his ministry "Christ changes lives", which has improved the conditions in which many Cubans live.
