HeDominican Postal Institute (Imposdom) announced that starting in May it will be possible to send correspondence andparcel to Cuba by postal mail from the Dominican Republic.

Both countries restarted their commercial relations through postal mail services after having suspended them for health reasons and "logistical" difficulties, according to what was indicated.Free Diary.

Erick Guzmán, director of Imposdom, pointed out that the restart of relations was organized under a Transformation and Relaunch Plan to promote projects that strengthen the services of his institution.

"The agreement seeks to connect our communities throughinternational postal service. This step in the normalization of postal relations with Cuba is due to an arduous effort to reconnect with an airline that could assure us the best prices for our users," said Guzmán.

The official did not specify which airline will operate these flights with correspondence andparcel to Cuba. He said that the postal mail service was requested by both countries to give way to commercial exchange in a responsible manner.

In Guzmás' opinion, a new stage of commercial relations between the Dominican Republic and Cuba begins, in which Imposdom will have a fundamental role by offering alternatives with benefits for users.

The opening of the service responds to requests from Cubans residing in the Dominican Republic to send correspondence andparcel to Cuba, whether to family members, entrepreneurs or to attract investors.
