Cuban citizens demonstrated in different latitudes of the world to support the protests that have happened in several cities of the country, to ask for “food and electricity”, “freedom”, “down with communism”, shouting “Homeland and Life”.
From Uruguay, Belgium, the Basque Country, the United States, Spain, dozens of Cubans joined the clamor for the freedom and dignity of all Cubans oppressed by the dictatorship on the island.
In Europe, the call was made for this Monday afternoon, where the protesters decided to meet in central points of different cities to publicize the situation that was happening in Cuba and demonstrate that those who live on the island are not alone. .
In Brussels, Belgium, the meeting was scheduled for Luxembourg Square; while in Barcelona, Spain, Cubans would gather on Paseo de Gracia.
The Cubans residing in Madrid called for the Plaza del Sol, while, in the Basque Country, the meeting was agreed in front of the Bilbao City Hall.
From the United States, activist Anamelys Ramos noted that they would meet at 8:00 p.m. in New Jersey, “with our signs, songs and with a lot of faith. Change will not happen magically. “We all count.”
The day before, in an act of solidarity, Members of the Cuban exile demonstrated peacefully in front of the Cuban Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay.
In the same way they did Cuban residents in Miami, who met in front of the Versailles restaurant, on popular 8th Street.
