The pitcher Jonathan Carbon, 26, was “dishonorably expelled” from the ranks of Cuban baseball, after having been fired in recent days from the Italian league team in which he was contracted and not returning to Cuban lands.

According to the sports journalist Carlos Hernandez Lujan, who summarized the Press Conference of the National Commission, The Cuban was expelled from the Competitive Baseball System.

Carbó was playing in Italy, under a contract made by the Cuban Federation of the discipline.

However, it recently emerged that the Cuban is in the Dominican Republic, a country from where he will seek to sign with a Major League team.

About him, the sports journalist Francys Romero, pointed out that "has the potential to get a signature", and added that he is a "starter with a fastball that stays at 91-94 MPH."

"He was a member of the Cuba team in multiple events including the U-23 World Cup (2021) and the pre-roll World Baseball Classic. In his last National Series he posted 5-5, 2.59 ERA, 60 SO in 90.1 IP," Romero concluded.

In Cuba, Carbó participated in nine National Series, with 33 successes and 41 defeats, as detailed Swing Completo.

The young man, who before arriving in the Dominican Republic was contracted by the Italian team BBC Grosseto, was expelled from that club last week after committing serious breaches of discipline.
