Two Cuban children, one of them 11 years old, who were reported missing on Monday in Havana, were found in good health.
Several pieces of information shared on social media reveal that the two minors, who reside in Old Havana, were in the municipality of Playa.
The internet user Mayde Ruiz, who had reported the disappearance on her Facebook profile, announced on Tuesday night that they are already with their families.
"Thank you all for your support, but the children have already appeared at the beach," he said.
The news was also shared in the Facebook group "CUBAN MOTHERS FOR A BETTER WORLD (Official Group)".
"They have already shown up. The thing is, they go out with their friends and don't tell their parents anything, and then the parents go crazy looking for them," said a single mother.
Up to now, it has not been revealed whether someone found the children or if they returned on their own. Another internet user pointed out that someone reported they were at the Police Station in Old Havana.
Several publications that reported the disappearance have been deleted.
The relatives had requested urgent help to locate them.
Internet user Thalía Navarro said that the 11-year-old's mother is named Sailys, also known as La Chiqui, and she was "crazy" looking for her son.
According to information extracted from various Facebook profiles, the two children belong to friendly families and often play together. No details were given about the circumstances of their disappearance, names, or other identifying features such as the clothes they were wearing that could help in the search.
On Sunday, they were playing at the corner of Tejadillo and Cuba at around 3:00 pm with another child, a internet user commented.
In recent months, reports of disappearances in Cuba have become more frequent on social media.
It has helped many families locate their loved ones in the face of a growing wave of violence and police inefficiency.
