The well-known Cuban journalist Cuscó Tarradel was involved in a traffic accident on Saturday night in Santiago de Cuba.
The independent reporter Yosmany Mayeta Labrada published on his Facebook profile the news of a crash between a motorcycle and a motorbike at the intersection of Enramadas Street and Hernán Cortés around 11:00 pm.
Mayeta shared a video showing how a person is being carried, apparently because they suffered moderate injuries that required medical attention.
Although he was unaware of who the two injured people were, his followers in the comment section of the post identified Tarradell, who according to his social media, is currently dedicated to promoting SMEs.
That young man involved in the accident is Cuzco Tarradel. They will have to place the STOP sign at that corner in a more visible location, accidents often happen there. That night, after being treated, they sent him home, luckily," reported Miriam Gual.
A neighbor in the area commented that the motorbike driver was the one who suffered the most damage and that a doctor from the block helped the two injured individuals. "And when it happened, a car with foreigners was coming up the block, they got out and offered water bottles to the accident victims," she recounted.
Several internet users wished the injured journalist a speedy recovery.
