A tropical wave will bring more rain to Cuba

This Monday, rain will continue across all regions of Cuba, although it is expected to be more abundant in the western and central regions of the country.

The Forecast Center of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology (INSMET) warned this Monday about the possible occurrence of showers, rainfall, and thunderstorms, particularly in the western and central regions of the country, associated with a tropical wave.

The daily report from the government entity states that "it will be mostly cloudy across much of the country, with showers, rain, and thunderstorms occurring in the west and center, where they may become heavy, while they will be more isolated in the eastern part."

Additionally, the report indicates that in the western and central regions, maximum temperatures will range between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius. In the eastern region, temperatures may reach up to 34 degrees Celsius.

As for the winds, they will be weak and variable.

The note specified that there will be little wave activity along the northeastern coastline, from Cabo Cruz to Punta de Maisí, as well as in the south of the Guanahacabibes Peninsula and the Isle of Youth. In the other coastal areas, the sea will be calm.

However, he warned that in areas experiencing showers and thunderstorms, wind strength and wave height can increase.

The special municipality of Isla de la Juventud woke up this Monday to heavy rainfall, according to the state-run Islavisión.
