A tragic accident occurred this Friday on the eight-lane highway in Havana, where a car overturned and caught fire, an incident in which the death of a girl has been confirmed so far.
The Internet user Osnier Escalona, a member of the Facebook group "Car Accidents in Cuba," revealed that the car was a Kia Picanto that overturned several times and caught fire.
On the other hand, user Yordan Domínguez García witnessed how the firefighters extinguished the flames and shared several photos.
The event took place near the Cotorro bridge.
The comments on the posts agree that a girl died who was not given time to be taken out and was trapped in the vehicle.
A user stated that there were two adults and two minors in the car who were taken to the hospital, but a truck driver who claims to have been at the scene clarified that there were six in total: three minors and three adults.
The minors were allegedly taken to William Soler Hospital and are currently in therapy.
