A Cuban's reaction after his truck was crushed by a tree in Houston during the passage of Beryl

The Cuban regretted that he had not even finished paying for the vehicle.

A Cuban resident in Houston, Texas, reacted with sadness but resignation to the misfortune of his truck, which he had not finished paying for, being crushed by a tree during the passage of Beryl through that U.S. territory on July 8th.

"I got up and look at what happened to the car. Look at what happened to the car, folks. We haven't even finished paying off the car and look," shared with regret on TikTok by the user identified as Iamronnyel23.

"Oh my God! How many tests do we need to keep moving forward in this world! But well, God knows why He does things... Let's keep fighting now. Let's see how we recover from this emergency," Ronny concluded, overcoming the bad experience.

In the images, you can see what appears to be a brand-new SUV GMC Terrain, in red, which was hit by a huge tree on its rear part.

In the comments section, several internet users encouraged Ronny and emphasized that the important thing was that there was no one inside, that material things can be recovered, especially if he had insurance.

The young man stated that he does have full vehicle insurance and said he hopes he can recover his truck without any financial loss out of his own pocket.

Others recommended that for the next time, try to park the vehicle away from trees when expecting, as in this case, the impact of strong winds.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Texas on Monday as a category 1 storm, and the strength of its winds and rain left a trail of destruction in the state, leaving over two million people without electricity.

Beryl made landfall near Matagorda Beach. At the time of its arrival on US territory, it had winds of 128 km/h, with even stronger gusts.

The death toll from the meteorological phenomenon rose to eight this Tuesday. However, it is estimated that the number of fatalities could increase as search and rescue efforts continue, as authorities emphasized.

Beryl also wreaked havoc as it passed through the Caribbean. At least 10 people died in Jamaica alone.
