Two alleged thieves were caught on camera leaving a liquor store in Miami where they supposedly committed a robbery and then escaped with the goods on a bicycle.
"It's not exactly a high-speed getaway: two guys allegedly rob a liquor store and pedal into the sunset... on bicycles," the site Only in Dade indicated on its social media, sharing the video of the incident.
The images show how two men hurriedly leave a location, carrying bags in their arms, and each gets on a bicycle and rides away from the place on different paths.
Although the publication did not specify it, the alleged robbery took place at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 1801 NE 123rd St Ste 200, North Miami, where pharmacy and drugstore products can be purchased, as well as photographic services and some food products.
In December 2023, an employee of a liquor store in Miami-Dade ended up in critical condition in a hospital after being shot while trying to prevent a robbery.
The events occurred at the Jensen’s Liquors beverage store, located on North Miami Avenue and Northwest 79 Street, in the northwest of the county, when the employee confronted a man who was attempting to steal a bottle of liquor.
According to the police and the images captured by the establishment's surveillance cameras, the man entered as a customer who allegedly intended to make a return, and when the employee denied it, he grabbed a bottle that was on the counter and attempted to leave without paying.
The store worker stepped out from behind the counter, confronted the individual, and a physical altercation ensued between the two as the employee tried to retrieve the bottle.
The fight continued outside the store and, at a moment when the employee fell backward to the parking floor, the man shot him in the abdomen and then fled on a bicycle in an unknown direction.
