A trailer transporting cargo overturned on a road in Ciego de Ávila, with no fatalities reported, only material damages.
The accident occurred in front of the La Verdad farm, very near Gaspar, a small locality that belongs to the municipality of Baraguá.
The internet user Roxana Saldívar Cuellar, who passed by the site this Monday, shared photos in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!".
The images show the vehicle overturned in the grass, to one side of the road. Very close by, two men can be seen, probably the driver and the co-pilot.
The incident occurred on Sunday, according to the Holguin resident Julio César Escobar Almaguer, who recounted that he was on a bus and when he saw the accident, he got off along with other people.
"There are no dead or anything, just two drivers with minor scrapes. It was a truck with cargo, nothing more happened," he pointed out.
The causes of the accident are unknown.
Last July, a truck with a container overturned in the city of Ciego de Ávila, at the roundabout heading to Camagüey, after the bus terminal, causing material damage.
The photo shared on Facebook showed the overturned vehicle on the side of the road and the container, which came loose from the bed of the trailer, lying on the grass next to the sidewalk.
The accident could have had fatal consequences if a passerby had been walking on the sidewalk when the trailer tipped over or if it had fallen onto the road where many bicycles and other light vehicles circulate.
In June, a truck from the company Almacenes Universales coming from Santiago de Cuba overturned on the Bayamo bypass.
The accident occurred right in front of the Rubén Nogueras tobacco factory and the provincial EIDE. Fortunately, no loss of human life was reported.
A witness stated that the vehicle apparently "took the curve too quickly." The trailer, which was transporting goods, ended up on the side of the road and was emitting smoke.
