A spectacular accident between two vehicles shook the surroundings of the Corojo popular council in the Baraguá municipality, Ciego de Ávila province, according to reports shared on social media.
In the Facebook group "ACCIDENTS BUSES & TRUCKS for more experience and fewer victims!", user Roberto García posted several images of the collision between what appears to be a modern Jeep-type car and another 4x4 or minivan.
So far, there have been no reports of loss of human life, pending more information about the incident.
It is worth noting that in this very municipality, a truck carrying cargo overturned on Monday, with no fatalities reported, only material damages.
The accident occurred in front of the La Verdad farm, very close to Gaspar, a small locality that belongs to the Baraguá municipality.
More than 700 people lost their lives due to traffic accidents in Cuba during 2023, authorities reported in January.
Colonel Roberto Rodríguez, head of the Specialized Traffic Body of the General Directorate of the Revolutionary National Police, stated to the official newspaper Granma that 2023 was the year with the lowest number of accidents, with 8,556, and of injuries (5,938).
