Following the explosion that occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the Carlos Marx Cement Factory in Cienfuegos, Cuban authorities reported one person dead, five injured, and three still trapped.
Official profiles have reported that among the injured, admitted to the Provincial Hospital Gustavo Aldereguía Lima, there is one in extremely critical condition, one very serious, one serious, and two with less serious injuries. All have been identified as:

✓ Alexei Aguilar Valdes, 53 years old, 5% of burns, reported as less severe. Batey Guabairos. Cienfuegos.
Likewise, the authorities reported one deceased person, although without providing details about the individual.
"The injured and their families are already being attended to at our Provincial Hospital," wrote Armando Carranza Valladares, secretary of the Communist Party in that Cuban city, on his Facebook profile.
The authorities did not provide further details about the three workers who are trapped in the facilities, although independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada added that "the search is ongoing, because sometimes people from the street enter for their businesses illegally, and they fear that they may have gotten trapped."
According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred due to a spill of material in a tower.
