Miami is the rudest city in the United States, according to a recent study.

The city center and Brickell are the areas most affected by the lack of courtesy in Miami. Look at the data.

A recent study conducted by Preply, an online tutoring platform, revealed that Miami has been crowned the rudest city in the United States, surpassing 46 other metropolitan areas evaluated.

The study surveyed residents of Miami about the frequency and type of rude behaviors they witness in their daily lives. The City of the Sun has a score of 9.88 and stands out for the prevalence of behaviors considered socially unacceptable.

Among the most noted behaviors are the lack of self-awareness, such as speaking on the phone on speaker in shared spaces and discourtesy towards service staff.

In addition, Miami residents are often accused of not respecting personal space, being noisy in public, not letting other vehicles merge in front of them while driving, and not showing kindness to strangers.

Particularly, residents identify downtown Miami and the Brickell area as the places where these behaviors are most noticeable.

Ninety percent of those surveyed believe that people living in these areas are less friendly compared to those residing in Hialeah or Miami Lakes. Additionally, 54% maintain that Miami natives are ruder than the newcomers to the city.

This study places Miami ahead of other cities like Philadelphia, Tampa, and Louisville in the ranking of rudeness. In contrast, the cities of Omaha, Minneapolis, and San Diego were recognized for having the most courteous residents in the entire country.

The research also highlights that, although some behaviors may be considered normal by locals, they are seen as rude by visitors.

This phenomenon underscores how cultural differences can influence the perception of behavior in different places in the United States.
