Susana Pérez's advice to Ulyk Anello after the Cuban actor recounted that he spent days without eating in Miami.

The Cuban actress reacted to Anello's harsh confession, in which he admitted that he even felt like dying.

Actress Susana Pérez reacted to the words of her colleague Ulyk Anello, who arrived in Miami in 2023 and, in a recent interview, confessed that after emigrating, he went hungry when his Food Stamps ran out, and that at one point he even felt like dying.

La Diva Pérez allowed herself to set an example and advised Anello to give herself time.

“Ulyk, I arrived here at 55 years old, not knowing English and with approximately 200 dollars in my wallet. It was all I had. And I also had a career, a career that you know and everyone knows. But you know what? I never wanted to die, on the contrary, I wanted to fight, to move forward, to work in anything that came my way,” said the actress at the beginning of her message, which she posted on Facebook.

Susana -who left evidence of her marked irony towards her colleague- then explained how in her case she worked for 14 years at a cosmetic surgery clinic where she started as a receptionist, which caused amazement among the clients.

Over time, the actress was able to advance in her career at the clinic itself, although she never became the owner of the place, as many believe.

"And after that, I have done so many things. At this moment, I can tell you that I almost live off my profession. That, Ulyk, is what it means to emigrate, but do you know what the good news is? It's that you have freedom. That's the advice I give you, don't stress out, give yourself time," Susana concluded.

In just a few hours, Susana Pérez's video has accumulated thousands of reactions and hundreds of comments, many of them supporting her words and recommending that the artist adopt a resilient attitude and fight against adversity.

Susana's reaction came after a fragment of a Destino Tolk interview with Ulyk Anello went viral, in which the actor confessed that he went up to two days without eating in a week after the U.S. government cut off his Food Stamps benefits. In his public statement, the Cuban actor even cried and admitted to wanting to die at times.

Susana's reaction has not been the only one to Anello's words; the Cuban actor Erdwin Fernández expressed his solidarity with his colleague in a lengthy written message of support to Ulyk, in which he lashed out at those who have criticized him and pointed out that being alone and away from family is terrible.

"To criticize someone, you have to walk in their shoes; it's a very old and wise saying, and only God knows what we all go through individually, and we suffer in solitude," emphasized Fernández, who added that although many may have found the public crying and complaining offensive, that only happens when the heart bursts.

Erdwin Fernández also said that if anything can be gained from the mockery and attacks in this case, it is to uncover that among the public, not everyone is a good, kind, and sensitive person.

"Instead of offending and mocking, it would have been beautiful to say: 'Ulyk, my friend, even though I don't know you, here is our support, because there is plenty of food here. What do you need?'", lamented Erdwin, who assured his friend that many good Cubans would offer help.
