A bus from route 222, number 5365, collided with a minibus this Saturday at the intersection of 160 and 51 streets, near the Terminal de la Lisa.
The bus, which was about to begin its next departure as part of the reinforcement of the Santiago route, collided with the minibus at the intersection of a traffic light, according to images published by the Transport Directorate of Havana on Facebook.
According to the publication, only material damage is reported in both vehicles, with no victims or injuries.
So far, it has not been determined which driver was responsible for the crash, in which apparently one of the vehicles tried to take away the right of way from the other.
The researchers are analyzing the circumstances that led to the accident to clarify the facts and take the corresponding measures, the information emphasizes.
Internet users lamented that another public passenger transport bus is being taken out of circulation amid the serious transportation crisis in the country.
Another traffic accident occurred last Monday in Santiago de Cuba, also involving a passenger transport bus at the intersection of Trocha and Santo Tomás streets, near the well-known Cafetería La Pelota. In this case, the vehicle was hit by a classic car.
