A couple of Cubans shared their joy of becoming parents on social media with the arrival of a beautiful baby girl. The curious thing about this birth is that it all started with a dance in a Walmart store in Nebraska.
The Asaelus profile (@asael8912) shared a video on TikTok that left many followers surprised, accompanied by the message: "Who would have thought that this mess at Walmart yesterday would lead us to this?"
The message perfectly complements the images in the video: her dancing in Walmart while grocery shopping, showing off her baby bump, but what started as a joke ended with the young woman in the hospital, where she gave birth to a beautiful girl.
Asaelus shared another video where he thanked life for the beautiful gift he is now holding in his arms: "Without being a month old, you have already fought your first battle, thank you God."
In 2023, the Cuban Mariolis Montano, pregnant, separated from her husband and stranded at the border with her minor child, gave birth hours after crossing into U.S. territory.
Montano lived a desperate situation watching her husband being admitted to the United States for a scheduled appointment with immigration authorities while she remained in Mexico with her 14-year-old son.
The event was unusual because people born in the United States are considered U.S. citizens, which means the baby had the opportunity to initiate the citizenship process for that country, even though her parents were just starting the process of regularizing their immigration status.
