A young Cuban proudly displays his admission to the University of South Florida.

The young Cuban celebrated his admission to the prestigious University of South Florida on social media.

A young Cuban shared on social media his most recent academic achievements, which include a Phi Theta Kappa certificate and his recent admission to the University of South Florida (USF).

On TikTok (@itselmanu__), the young Cuban shared a video of the admission message from the respected USF, presenting this announcement as an important achievement in his life.

In the official admission message, the institution congratulated the young Cuban on behalf of its president, the Board of Trustees, the students, the faculty, and the staff of the institution, and celebrated his acceptance for the spring semester of 2025.

The USF emphasized that, based on his academic record, the young man has shown the necessary potential to achieve success in university.

In the shared video, the young Cuban also boasted another significant achievement: obtaining a Phi Theta Kappa certificate, a prestigious honor society that recognizes academic excellence in students of community colleges and associate degree programs.

This recognition underscores his dedication and academic effort, which has led him to receive outstanding opportunities such as his recent admission to the University of South Florida.

In the comments section, the user Kirenia Arias (@kireniaarias), presumably the mother of the young Cuban, expressed her immense pride in her son's achievements: "My son, my love, how I have cried with this video of pride. I have seen you work so hard and I have seen every achievement and the ones that are yet to come. Oh, son, and above all, for maintaining your Cuban pride and your humility."

"We give our life, our soul, for our children. Always doing everything to support them, but these children of mine have put the fact right in front," she also said emotionally.

In June, another young Cuban made his father proud when he was accepted into 17 prestigious universities in the United States, including Harvard, Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Carlos Núñez-Sosa, son of a Honduran mother and a Cuban father, received affirmative responses from 17 of the 25 universities he applied to, but ultimately decided to enroll at MIT because, in his own words, he is drawn to its energetic, social, and collaborative community, in addition to the opportunity to "study something very advanced."

Layra de la Caridad Valdés Ramírez, a young Cuban born in Havana, graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and dedicated that achievement to her parents.

In the opinion of the recent graduate, the ones who have made great sacrifices for her to succeed in the United States are her parents, who gave up their professional careers and emigrated to give her the opportunity for a better future.

Months ago, a young Cuban woman in the United States graduated from her high school in Florida, proudly wearing a sash with the Cuban flag, honoring her roots.
