The 25-year-old Cuban pitcher Naykel Cruz will have the opportunity to showcase his skills at a highly anticipated event on November 7 at the Josué Herrera complex in Toro de Guerra, Dominican Republic.

Hailing from the province of Matanzas and a member of several national teams, the left-handed pitcher decided a few months ago to part ways with Cuban baseball in search of a lucrative professional contract.

According to journalist Francys Romero on the social media platform Facebook, Cruz will experience a crucial moment for his future that day, starting at 10:00 a.m., after catching attention for his speed of 94-95 miles per hour and a curveball with significant vertical movement and spin rate.

In fact, Romero warned that he will be the main attraction of the event organized by the Wellington Herrera Baseball Academy.

Among Cuban fans, the flamethrower is well-remembered for his lack of control, although they always acknowledged that he had the talent to succeed and just needed to work on his command. Has he managed to iron out the negatives?

The reality is that this "showcase" comes at a key moment for Cruz, as the offseason represents an opportunity for players looking to break into the challenging Major League system.

What do you think?
