An explosion of a car battery inside a home at the intersection of Trinidad and Reloj streets in Santiago de Cuba prompted a swift response from firefighters, who managed to control the incident without any reported injuries.

The information was shared by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada through his Facebook account.

In the post, several users in the comments also confirmed that there were no fatalities or injuries in the incident.

So far, the causes of the explosion are unknown.

Although this time it involved a vehicle, similar situations are more common with what are known as motorbikes.

In September, a fire caused by the explosion of an electric motorcycle occurred in the Lawton neighborhood of Havana, completely destroying a workshop and part of a residence.

The incident occurred at around 6:35 p.m. in a location on 18th Street between Dolores and Concepción, Vista Alegre People's Council.

Fires involving electric motorcycles have caused significant loss of property and resources in the country, as evidenced by the incident reported in Santa Clara. There, the explosion of a battery from a charging electric scooter engulfed a garage in flames within minutes, leaving a Lada car completely burned.

Explosions can occur anywhere and are not limited to the moment they are under load. This happened with a motorbike whose battery exploded while parked near the intersection of 23rd and 26th Streets in the Havana neighborhood of El Vedado.

In Santiago de Cuba, an explosion of a motorbike caused a fire inside a house. Residents of a home in Matanzas faced a similar situation.
