A Cuban mother was arrested in Florida for threatening to take her eight-month-old daughter from the foster home where she is currently placed and to burn down the house if they did not hand her over.

Hany Matozes More, 38 years old, was arrested on Thursday for making written or electronic threats to kill, cause bodily harm, or carry out a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.

The girl's adoptive family lives in Boynton Beach, in Palm Beach County, and reported several incidents, including sending an audio message via WhatsApp with threats.

The adoptive mother of the minor recounted that on New Year's Eve, More went to the daycare and informed her that she could not be there, to which the Cuban replied that she only wanted to see her daughter.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO), on January 23, the woman attempted to take the minor from the daycare, but she was stopped. She then posted a video on her Instagram account questioning the authorities for taking custody of her baby.

The arrest report, accessed by CBS, details that a week later the adoptive mother discovered a hole in the daycare's fence and a tracking device hidden in a stuffed animal that More had given to the girl.

The next day, he went to the daycare with a butane torch and a fire extinguisher and approached the adoptive mother, but a security guard intervened and she left. Near the daycare, two backpacks containing flammable material were found, along with the identification card of the Cuban.

Since last year, Hany Matozes More has been trying to regain custody of his daughter, named Cataleya de la Caridad.

The woman has shared numerous messages on her social media in which she claims to be a victim of injustice.

Last August, Hany Matozes More was arrested for committing an act of vandalism on a property while holding her baby, who was then just two months old. She was charged with child abuse and neglect, criminal damage, and resisting arrest.

The police said that she arrived at a house after 11:30 PM and began to knock on the door with a heavy object.

The arrest report details that he was "violently shaking" the baby that was under his arms, and that the infant's head was moving "rapidly" from side to side, which "could have caused significant harm."

"The baby was held in a grip similar to a headlock, which caused all the weight of the baby's body to rest on his head and neck," specified the police, according to Local 10.

The woman caused damage to a motorcycle, a car, and the victim's house, all while holding the baby in her arms.

"When the agents arrived at the scene, the accused was still holding the baby carelessly, nearly dropping her several times. The baby was crying hysterically and appeared to be terrified," the document stated.

Fortunately, the girl did not suffer serious injuries.

Matozes More was arrested and a bail of $8,000 was set.
