A woman died on Monday morning after being shot inside her own home in San Antonio, a town in the Vertientes municipality, in Camagüey.

The victim, a mother of two children, has been identified as Cristina Guerra, aged 54.

According to information revealed by local residents to the group Facebook "Missing within Cuba. We are your voice," the attacker was a hooded man, currently unknown, who broke into the woman’s home and fired multiple shots with a firearm.

She was quickly transferred to Mario Muñoz Monroy hospital, where she was pronounced dead due to the severity of the injuries caused by the gunshots.

So far, the causes of the incident are unknown, the note specifies.

The author of the post requests that anyone with any information about the incident or the identity of the murderer contact the Police.
