A 26-year-old Cuban citizen died in a traffic accident in La Sabana, San José, Costa Rica.

The incident occurred on Saturday at 8:42 a.m., when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a bus in front of the statue of León Cortés, reported the local media Teletica.

The deceased, identified by the surname Rodríguez, worked as a fast food delivery driver, noted the outlet CR Hoy.

For its part, Diario Extra reported that the young man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cruz Roja Costarricense.

The Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) was responsible for the retrieval of the body and began the inquiries to determine the causes of the accident.

Meanwhile, the independent media reported that it has been revealed that the accident occurred when the bus was about to turn, although the causes are currently under investigation.
