The answer is no. Chocolate MC has not been transferred to the controversial migrant detention center in Florida, Alligator Alcatraz.
This has been clarified by the journalist from Univision, Javier Díaz, following the circulation of rumors suggesting that the controversial reggaeton artist was at the center that was inaugurated last week.
"The news is false, it is circulating on social media but it is not real. So far, the musician is being held in the Miami-Dade jail and has not been transferred to Alligator Alcatraz," the communicator explained on his social media.
Nevertheless, Díaz did not rule out the possibility that he might eventually be transferred there.
"It could happen, but so far it hasn't. So don't be fooled by unofficial pages," the journalist concluded.
Indeed, the police record of Chocolate reveals that he remains detained in MWDC, that is, at Metro West Detention Center.

Metro West is the largest detention center in the Miami-Dade County correctional system, with the capacity to house up to 3,098 male inmates under maximum, medium, and minimum custody levels.
One month in prison
Chocolate has been in prison for over a month. The reggaeton artist was arrested on June 2, after kidnapping and threatening a fan with a firearm, who was at the mercy of the reggaeton artist for several hours.
On June 5, Chocolate appeared before Judge Mindy S. Glazer in Miami, who determined that he would not be granted bail for violating the conditions of his previous release.
In the hearing, Yosvanis Sierra Hernández -the artist's real name- denied before the judge that he is "crazy," and asserted that he feels "safer in jail."
"Someone on the street is paying to have me killed like they killed El Taiger," he also said. "I don't want a lawyer; even my lawyer is borrowed. They are trying to sell me as if I am crazy," he assured.
Chocolate MC is facing charges of kidnapping and armed robbery, although the gun he used in the incident was fake.
The case adds to a legal history that includes accusations of domestic violence, drug possession, and alleged conspiracy to murder the supposed killer of El Taiger.
This is the fifth case opened in court in Florida for Chocolate and the ninth arrest in eight years.
Alligator Alcatraz, the feared destination
Chocolate has not been transferred yet to Alligator Alcatraz, but there is reggaeton artist Leamsy Izquierdo, known artistically as La Figura, who reported the inhumane conditions he is facing in the immigration detention center in Florida.
Izquierdo was detained there after being arrested on criminal charges and being placed in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
