The Venezuelan singer Nacho shared an emotional message directed to his followers in Cuba, where he explained the reasons why he has had to postpone his visit to the island due to the current health situation.
In a video shared on his social media, the performer of Báilame expressed his affection for the Cuban people and lamented not being able to make the trip he had planned
“Dear family from Cuba, I was so excited to visit you, and I’m still looking forward to it, but we didn't foresee the health situation currently affecting the island. I hope there is a swift solution,” commented the artist.
Nacho referred to the cases of chikungunya being reported in Cuba and mentioned that over 30,000 people may have been affected.
"I understand that there are several people in serious condition. I haven't heard of any fatalities yet, but I hope it doesn't come to that," he added with concern.
The singer emphasized that the decision to postpone his performance is a matter of responsibility
"We know that we cannot hold meetings with a large number of people and be a factor in spreading the virus. We hope to be there very soon, in 2026, to fulfill our commitments with you. For now, the priority is health, protecting the people, protecting Cuba, and getting through this episode as quickly as possible."
Nacho closed his message by sending affectionate words to his Cuban followers: "I love you, I adore you, I miss you, and we’ll be there soon."
The artist, who has a strong connection with the Cuban audience, reiterated his desire to return to the island as soon as the health situation improves, making it clear that his current priority is the wellbeing of the Cuban people.
