Nicolás Maduro sparked outrage once again by taking to a stage and starting to dance to an electronic piece featuring his own phrases such as “Peace, yes. War, no” and “Not war,” during a massive march of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in Caracas.
The event, held this Monday, aimed to swear in the new Commanders of the Integral Bolivarian Communities (CCBI), a structure created to strengthen the political control of Chavismo at the community level.
While the Secretary General of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, praised the "organization of the people" and the militants chanted anti-imperialist slogans, Maduro took the opportunity during the event to declare December as the month of "partying and more partying," assuring that the festivities will be celebrated "in peace and family unity."
The president described the growing international pressure as a "psychological war" and urged his supporters to revel "in joy and revolution."
The scene, captured by numerous media outlets, shows Maduro dancing cheerfully in front of thousands of supporters, in what many consider a display of frivolity and irresponsibility in light of the serious political crisis and rising military tensions in the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, in Washington, Donald Trump chaired an emergency meeting on Monday at the White House with senior officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, to define new actions within the "maximum pressure" strategy against the Venezuelan regime.
The United States continues to deploy Operation "Southern Lance," with the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and B-52 bombers in the Caribbean, sending a clear warning message to Caracas.
The world is witnessing an unprecedented military escalation, but Maduro prefers to indulge in "pachanga," demonstrating his complete disconnection from reality and the suffering of the Venezuelan people.
