Cuban content creator Lisa Garci recently shared her unique "survival kit" in a video to cope with the constant blackouts affecting the island, which have recently intensified in Havana.

"That's how we manage to survive a little at home during the blackouts in Cuba; I think I'm missing more items," said the influencer while showing the essential items she uses each night.

Among them, two independent batteries stand out, which are used to charge mobile phones and small rechargeable lamps for moving around the house during power outages.

"I don't remember how long it's been since I last had electricity and connection at 8 p.m. in my house," he lamented, referring to the lack of electricity during peak hours, a situation that is becoming increasingly common for Cubans.

Lisa also showcased her rechargeable fans with solar panels, a solution that allows her to store energy during the day. "They are multifunctional—they provide light, I can charge small devices, and they keep me cool from the heat," she shared.

“This is my kit, but I’ll see what else to add because the blackouts seem like they’re going to last,” concluded the influencer, reflecting the harsh reality faced by thousands of Cubans who are trying to adapt to power outages.

Among the things that are lacking, one should include some cooking device when, in addition to electricity, gas is missing and coal is scarce in Cuba.
