Lemonade is a very popular drink in Cuba because of its refreshing qualities. Here we suggest a quick and delicious recipe, perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying on your own when no one is watching! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 3 lemons
- sugar to taste
- 1 liter of cold water
- Ice
Instructions:
Wash the lemons, cut them in half, and squeeze them well. Remove any seeds that fall into the juice.
Mix the lemon juice with sugar and mash it until the granules dissolve, creating a thick syrup.
Two tablespoons of this mixture diluted in cold water equals one glass of lemonade. Adjust the quantities to your taste and set this mixture aside; you can use it as desired. Don’t keep it in the fridge for more than two or three days, as it might crystallize or spoil.
You can also dilute it in hot water to make a lemonade that will help you feel better on sick days.
We suggest trying two tablespoons of the lemon and sugar mixture in a glass over ice, then blending it with 150 ml of water. Blend well and serve it in a tall glass, garnished with a slice of lemon. If it’s for adults, you can add a splash of white rum, and enjoy!
