La Habana, April 8 (PL) The Chinese company Sinotruk, a well-known truck manufacturer in the world, has sold over seven thousand units to Cuba and plans to expand its business here, a company representative stated today.
In statements to Prensa Latina, executive Jackie Chen from the export management explained that the company has been operating in this country since 2005 and currently has more than 300 regular clients.
Among the more than seven thousand units sold since 2005 are cargo vehicles, semi-trailers, concrete mixers, specialized construction trucks, excavators, cranes, and solid waste collection vehicles, he illustrated.
Over the past three years, he noted, our business operations in the Cuban market have shown significant growth, and we believe that they could expand further if we take advantage of the potential associated with the prospective development of construction and national infrastructure, he commented.
At this moment, Sinotruk is showcasing traditional offers and new products at the XI International Construction Fair (Fecons), being held at the Pabexpo venue in the capital, with the participation of 199 entities from 29 countries.
According to Jackie Chen, the products of the Sinotruk brand are familiar to many entities operating in Cuba within the construction, logistics, and oil sectors, but they aspire to secure more contracts.
According to the interviewee, the corporation is the seventh largest company in China and the third largest truck manufacturer globally, with sales of machinery and spare parts in Africa, Russia, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
Fecons 2016 represents an attractive scenario for Sinotruk, the expert affirmed, while also considering the diversity of foreign corporations attending the exhibition.
Organized by the Cuban Ministry of Construction, this event features Chile as the honored guest country and welcomes consortia from the United States and Vietnam for the first time.
