The United States Government has declared Georgia in a state of "major disaster" after Hurricane Michael October 9th.

The federal Executive approved this Monday the use of national funds to recover damages and care for those affected in different counties of the State of Georgia, according to a statement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

"Assistance includes aid for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster," the agency said, cited by EFE.

Residents in Georgia counties affected by theHurricane Michael They can request aid through the Internet or at the number 1-800-621-3362, according to the information offered on Twitter by the local emergency service.

In Georgia only one person died during Michael's passage, butIn the United States there are at least 19 deaths.
