Right-hander Reinier Roibal signed a contract with the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna in the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), as confirmed by the League's Twitter account yesterday.
Roibal, 30, will try to contribute to Laguna's rotation in the 2nd stage of the championship.
In addition, he will seek to reverse an irregular 2018 campaign on Aztec soil, when between the Diablos Rojos of Mexico and Tecolotes de Dos Laredos he left a record of 0-2, 6.94 ERA and they hit .318.
Roibal was also unable to repeat his great 2017 season in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League and after 18 innings with the Águilas del Zulia: 0-1, 7.00 ERA he was released.
A year before he had achieved dream numbers in Venezuela with 5-2, 2.03. Let's hope that the man from Santiago returns to his best form in the new experience with the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna, where Michel Enríquez serves as hitting coach.
