Cuban catcher Lorenzo Quintana was signed by the Tigres del Licey of the Dominican Winter League, as announced by the team's Twitter account.

Quintana, 30 years old, has just performed in the Mexican Pacific League with Cañeros de los Mochis. There he hit .278, four home runs and 20 RBIs.

After emigrating from Cuba in 2015, the man from Pinar del Río was hired by the Houston Astros.

Already in 2019 he arrived at the Triple-A level, and next season he could be among the Astros' options on the big team.

Quintana hit .299, 17 home runs and 56 RBIs between Double-A and Triple-A.
