The Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez This Monday he accused Donald Trump's government of separating the Cuban family, a comment that outraged dozens of Internet users who accused the minister of having "double standards."

"The attack on remittances can only come from a government specialized in building walls and separating families," published the head of Foreign Relations of the island.

"Justifying the harm to Cubans in both countries is cynical and criminal. It is a presidential mockery of the values promoted by American society," Rodríguez emphasized.

The minister refers to the recent White House measures that affect the sending of family remittances and will cause the closure of 407 branches of the Western Union company on the island.

However, his post caused the indignation of dozens of Cubans who inside and outside the country suffer the pain of staying away from their families due to the policies of the Cuban regime.

"You make fun of the Cuban people, you pay them in pesos and charge them in the empire's currency," said one Internet user.

Another user of the social network also said angrily to Bruno Rodríguez: "You were really born without any shame. You deceive those who want to deceive you, you separated the families, you are the walls, the damage to the Cubans on the island is on your part", to which another Twitter user responded:

"I totally agree with you! How are you going to say that the US separated the family when they were responsible, do they believe that we have no memory? If they are like this because of some remittances, I don't want to see if Trump is re-elected... to cry in the portals! ", he claimed.

One woman recalled the separation suffered by the families of doctors who decide to abandon missions abroad.

"Those who separate families are you, double standards and what do you call the exile of Cuban doctors? How many families are separated for that reason, you imposed that law, not the empire," he commented.

"What is cynical and criminal is to educate a people in the impossibility of producing wealth and depending on remittances sent by the part of the people that is not for you the people, whom you humiliated and humiliated, whom you despised and banished. No! There is a lot of memory!" said another Internet user.

The government of Donald Trump placed the Cuban company FINCIMEX on the list of entities sanctioned by the State Department since last June, but the measure will not be implemented until November 27, after the regulations announced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) .

This decision implies that Western Union, the main issuer of remittances to Cuba, will not be able to maintain the contract established with the Cuban financial company since 1999, due to its ties with the military.

The United States government reiterated this Friday that the sending of remittances to Cuba will continue to flow through various means but without the participation of the military, and said that its fundamental concern is to protect the interests of the Cuban people.

Rodríguez made his publication criticizing the Trump government one day before the elections in the United States.

The Cuban regime has hinted at its preferences for rival Democratic candidate Joe Biden, who in turn has been accused by Trump of being "the candidate of the Castro regime."

For his part, Biden has stated that the limitations on remittances proposed by Trump only harm Cuban families, and that if elected he will immediately eliminate these restrictions and travel to the island.
