Cuban actor Abel Rodríguez dies in Miami

The actor suffered a pulmonary embolism, according to sources close to him.

Sources close to the actor informedCyberCuba that his death occurred due to cardiorespiratory arrest due to a thrombus, which caused brain death.

The young Cuban presenter and actress Paula Rodriguez Massola, daughter of Abel with the presenterEdith Massola, said goodbye to his father with an emotional message on social networks.

"Some say that I have your lips and your nose, those who knew you and have talked to me told me that I reminded them of you, I don't know, but I don't doubt it (...) Rest dad, peace and light for your soul I wish you with all my heart. I hope wherever you are you read this," he wrote.

"I have to use my imagination, the one that they say I also inherited from you, to create scenarios with you where I see you after so much time, when I was little I sometimes did: that you showed up at my school, or that you arrived as a surprise, or I visited you "I, those scenarios are full of funny anecdotes, perhaps you also created them in your mind at some point," Paula wrote to her father, whom she had not seen for a long time.

"Today at 9:30 am, the Cuban actor Abel Rodríguez passed away in the city of Miami. Excellent professional and friend. We will remember your laughter forever. Your dedication to each project and your good energy with everyone. Goodbye friend. Good trip, Abelito," wrote Vilaplana.

Abel Rodríguez was born in the neighborhood of El Vedado, Havana, in 1971, into a family of artists. Since he was little he was closely involved in the world of television, where he began as a prop man, helping on his father's productions.Manolo Rodriguez, after finishing high school.

Little by little he began to work in small roles and became a renowned film, television and theater actor, with a solid career in Cuba, Colombia and Miami.
