More of300 migrants crossed the borderAmerican this Wednesday morning in the city of Yuma, located in southwestern Arizona.

According to information offered by the Border Patrol, the majority of immigrants are fromCuba, Colombia and Peru, as noted on Twitter by independent journalist Ali Bradley.

A similar number entered through another point in that territory this Tuesday and surrendered to the authorities.

However, it was a different place than usual, the reporter said, adding that the officers do not know the reasons for the change in the crossing point, since the Mexican cartels are the ones who control where the entry is made.

In the videos shared these two days by Bradley, you can see a long line of men, women and small children - some of them carried in their arms - waiting for the arrival of the border patrols to be transferred to the respective detention centers.

The migratory avalanche of Cubans entering the United States through the southern border continues to rise.

Only in November, along that border 34,675 Cubans entered irregularly to the US, and at all border points they reached 35,849.

SinceNicaragua established visa-free status To travel to their country, an increasing number arrives in that nation and from there undertakes the risky journey until they reach the border between Mexico and the United States.

The November figure is the second highest of the Cuban migratory flow in recent years, although it was surpassed in April, when 34,839 Cubans entered through that border crossing.

The overwhelming numbers of Cubans who illegally seek to reach US soil evidence the largest migratory exodus in recent times.

In fiscal year 2022 (FY2022),224,764 Cubans requested political asylumon the borders of the United States with Canada and Mexico.

However, the numbers of Cuban rafters have also reached records. Since the start of FY2023 on October 1, the Coast Guard (USCG) has detained4,153 Cuban rafters, more than half of those intercepted in the entire previous period (FY2022), which extended from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.
