Cuban Erick Hernández sets a new world record for ball control

He spent one hour, 12 minutes and five seconds hitting a soccer ball with just his head.

This Saturday, Cuban Erick Hernández Sánchez broke a new Guinness World Record in ball control by staying for one hour, 12 minutes and five seconds hitting a soccer ball with only his head.

In it Mystique Havana luxury hotel, Hernández Sánchez beat his own personal goal, in front of a team of experts who endorsed the feat, which allows him to continue calling himself El Dominador, according to a report from the official newspaper Granma.

Erick Hernández Sánchez (Havana, 1966) began playing sports from a very young age and his forays into soccer led him to become interested in controlling the ball.

The athlete has demonstrated the ability to touch the round with almost all parts of the body, achieving mastery marks with the thighs, knees, feet, head, running the 100 meters and the marathon.

He entered the Guinness Book of Records for the first time in 2005, for touching the ball 319 times for one minute with his head.

Since then he has established several records, such as staying for 10 hours and nine minutes, sitting and hitting the ball with just his feet.
