A traffic accident that occurred in the town of Los Pozos, in Santiago de Cuba, has left six people injured, one of them in critical condition, reported the Ministry of Public Health of that territory.
The MINSAP official identified on Facebook as Aris Arias Batalla said that the collision between a truck and a jeep on the stretch of road that connects Palma Soriano and San Luis forced the activation of the Emergency services, SIUM, around midnight this Thursday.
"It was the projection of a truck against a Jeep, it is not reporteddeceased so far, although there is one critical injury," explains the publication on the social network.
He stated that the injured in this accident, which occurred around the early hours of this Thursday, were transferred to thehospital of Saint Louis; but then they would be sent to the provincial Saturnino Lora.
"Public Health Authorities are in the Guard Corps of the Saturnino Lola Provincial Hospital, awaiting the arrival of the injured," the source stressed.
He adds that the Ministry of the Interior will investigate the causes of theaccident.
Recently Cuba experienced another massive accident, when a bus on the Surgidero route from Batabanó to Havana overturned, leaving four dead and more than 40 injured, including three minors.
