Cuban doctor who died in Peru is fired

The doctor was found in a bathroom of the hospital where he worked, the causes of death are unknown.

The Regional Council III of the Medical College of Peru fired the Cuban doctor this SaturdayOsmani Manuel Bonet Romero, who died during a guard service at the hospital where he served in Lima.

The council extended "its most sincere condolences to the family, close friends and medical community, on the painful passing of Dr.Osmani Manuel Bonet Romero"says the entity in a Facebook post.

Likewise, friends of the doctor lamentedthe sad news, and described him as "an excellent professional, colleague and friend", who worked in the specialty of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation.

Bonet Romero was found dead on Thursday in the clinic where he worked in the city of Lima, Peru. He died during his night shift at the San Gabriel clinic in the Peruvian capital, his compatriot and colleague Ahmed Martínez reported on Facebook.

Bonet, who lived in Peru, was a graduate of the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba and worked as a specialist at the Vladimir Ilich Lenin General Hospital, in his native province, Holguín, according to information on his social networks.
