A young pregnant Cuban migrant died in the state ofChihuahua, north of Mexico, during their attempt to cross the border into the United States.

Santiago de la Peña stated that the situation has led to a humanitarian, health and even security crisis, and cited as an example the integration of some migrants into criminal organizations.
Images released in recent days showed how dozens of migrants, including children and women, risked their lives in Chihuahua walking along the railway tracks to force the Ferromex trains to stop, and thus take advantage of the opportunity to get on and reach the border with the United States.
In another incident this week, hundreds of migrants tried to cross into the United States from Ciudad Juárez, also in Chihuahua, under the gaze of several security elements who could do nothing to prevent it.
The death of the young pregnant Cuban migrant, whose death no other details have emerged so far, adds to the regrettabledeaths of 10 other women on the island, one of them a minor, who died this week in a tragic traffic accident in the state of Chiapas while trying to reach the southern border of the United States.
