A newlywed couple was shot to death in the city of West Palm Beach, Florida, just a week after their wedding.
The alleged murderer was the woman's ex-husband and father of her children, 46 years old and identified asSony Josaphat, who admitted to the police that he felt overcome with jealousy when he saw the new couple.
The victims' family has invoked Marsy's Law, meaning the names of the deceased will not be made public.
A witness stated that the coupleHe was installing exterior cameras in the house and taking out purchases on December 9, when the detainee arrived, greeted them and began shooting.
The man had not lived in the house where the double crime occurred for more than a year, but he appeared randomly from time to time.
The detainee declared that that day he had gone to the house to take his daughter to breakfast, butUpon seeing the happy couple, anger took over him and he began to shoot, even in front of his daughter.

The murderer, after committing the double crime, called his pastor and confessed what he had done. He then drove to the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office headquarters, entered the detention center's main courtroom and turned himself in.
Josaphat, who has been detained without bail, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
According to court documents cited by local press, Josaphat had no criminal record and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the shooting.
