Several generations of the same Cuban family celebrate the new year in the United States.

In that family are those who arrived because of the hype, those who crossed Mexico, those who began the journey in Nicaragua, the rafter and those who benefited from humanitarian parole.

For decadesentire families of Cubans have emigrated from the island, and over the years several generations have met again in the United States and now have the opportunity to celebrate the new year together again.

One of those many Cuban families shocked the networks with a beautiful video on TikTok in whichdifferent generations shared when and how they arrived in North American territory.

“We are Cubans and we live in the United States,” reads a sign and then the different members of the family begin to enter in order of age and how they arrived in that country.

The grandparents arrived 23 years ago through the bass drum, just like the next couple that alreadyhas been in the United States for 17 years, where they saw their daughter born.

They were followed by another couple who 7 years ago made the difficult decision toemigrate through Mexico, and his son was born in the United States.

Two ladies also emigrated, one traveled with a visa and decided to stay and the other through a claim process.

A year and nine months ago, a couple arrived with their two small children whoThey made the dangerous journey from Nicaraguato the border between Mexico and the United States.

Four members of the family followed that same journey a year and a month ago; and another four exactly a year ago.

The rafter was not missing from that list who arrived on American shores two years ago and those who recognize themselves as Cuban-Americans.

The last to arrive, apparently a mother and her daughter, werethrough the humanitarian parole program just two months ago.

Like them, there are many Cubans who in more than 60 years have used different routes, some legal, others risking their lives, to reach the United States; always with the clear idea of seeking a better future and escaping the needs and shortcomings of a country in constant decline.

Many never stop missing their land, like a young Cuban who recently went viral on TikTok and received messages of support and also criticism, by sharing a video in which he referred to the United States as “the land of wonders and broken hearts”, because he misses the holidays with family and friends to say goodbye to the year.
