A traffic accident in Havana left two people injured who were taken to hospitals.
The accident occurred this Thursday on Calzada de Porvenir and Tejar Street. A witness shared images in the Bus and Truck Accidents Facebook group.
The two injured people were a couple and, according to the witness, they were traveling on one of the two motorcycles involved in the accident.
There is a third vehicle that was also allegedly related to the accident. It is a platinum blue Moskvitch. In the images you can see the police checking the impact zone at the back of the car.
In this accident, no loss of human life was reported, but there were material losses. No details are known about the identity of the injured people or their current physical condition.
In 2023 there were more than700 people who lost their lives as a result of traffic accidents in Cuba and another 5,938 were injured with different levels of severity.
The official data was reported last week by Colonel Roberto Rodríguez, head of the Specialized Traffic Body of the General Directorate of the National Revolutionary Police. He noted that 2023 was the year with the fewest accidents, with 8,556 cases reported in the country.
